The living room was filled with the soft glow of the afternoon sun, casting warm shadows across the marble floors. The light was golden, honeyed, streaming through the tall windows in wide, inviting pools that seemed to dance across the polished surface. Each ray carried tiny specks of dust that floated lazily through the air, suspended in the warmth like fragments of forgotten dreams.
The furniture seemed to absorb the light, the dark wood of the coffee table gleaming, the deep burgundy of the sofa appearing almost alive with color. The air was still, carrying the faint scent of jasmine from the garden beyond, and the distant sound of birdsong drifted through the open windows.
